{"id":637,"date":"2015-05-12T08:43:44","date_gmt":"2015-05-12T13:43:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.socpsy.com\/casks\/?p=637"},"modified":"2015-05-12T08:43:44","modified_gmt":"2015-05-12T13:43:44","slug":"new-bjcp-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socpsy.com\/casks\/new-bjcp-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"New BJCP Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP<\/a>) has released new guidelines for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/docs\/2015_Guidelines_Beer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">beer<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/docs\/2015_Guidelines_Mead.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">mead<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/docs\/2015_Guidelines_Cider.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">cider<\/a>. The guidelines can be found at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/stylecenter.php\" target=\"_blank\">BJCP Style Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are some major changes in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/docs\/2015_Guidelines_Beer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">beer guidelines<\/a>.\u00a0 I have not had a chance to look at the mead and cider changes.\u00a0 The beer guidelines have undergone major changes.\u00a0 I like the fact that the new guidelines have a category for &#8220;historical&#8221; beer.<\/p>\n<p>This is the opening paragraph of the new beer guidelines:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div data-canvas-width=\"37.35743501960785\">The 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines are a major revision from the 2008 edition.
