The Midwatch in Verse Project<\/a> is pleased to announce an upcoming<\/strong> article to be published in the January<\/strong> issue of \u201cLeatherneck Magazin<\/a>e\u201d published by the Marine Corps Association<\/a>. The article titled, Leatherneck Bards: Marines Embrace Unusual Duty Aboard U.S. Navy Ships <\/em>highlights US Marines\u2019 deck log poetry from the 1950\u2019s through 1970s. The team found 20 midwatch deck log poems written by Marines serving aboard Navy ships out of the 10,000+ poems that they reviewed.
