{"id":461,"date":"2015-03-12T08:52:11","date_gmt":"2015-03-12T13:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.socpsy.com\/casks\/?page_id=461"},"modified":"2023-05-30T08:46:31","modified_gmt":"2023-05-30T13:46:31","slug":"other-awards","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.socpsy.com\/casks\/about\/other-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Other Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>FOAM Cup.<\/strong> Several years ago, I developed a weizenbock recipe that I found to be quite acceptable.\u00a0 I entered it into the<a href=\"http:\/\/foamcup.us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> FOAM Cup<\/a> (Fellowship of Oklahoma Alemakers) competition in Tulsa.\u00a0 This competition is an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.homebrewersassociation.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AHA-sanctioned<\/a> event and typically draws over 600 entries from around the country in the various <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjcp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BJCP categories<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.socpsy.com\/casks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG_1098.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-thumbnail wp-image-463 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.socpsy.com\/casks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/IMG_1098-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"FOAM Cup Medals\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>The first year I entered this beer, I won a silver medal in the wheat\/rye category.\u00a0 I entered again the following year and won another silver medal in that category.\u00a0 I lost the gold to a weissbier that ended up being the Best of Show!\u00a0 Finally, on my third try I won the gold!!\u00a0 I will post the recipe for this beer in my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.socpsy.com\/casks\/documentation\/\">Documentation\/Recipe page<\/a> soon.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong> Best Autumn Drink Competition.<\/strong> \u00a0At the <em>Spirits of the Middle Ages<\/em> event (2015), Countess Gwen and HL Eowyth sponsored \u00a0this &#8220;spirits&#8221; competition, which I won with my nocino entry.<\/p>\n<p>I became the <strong>Royal Brewer of Calontir<\/strong> at Lilies War in June 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yeoman Longbow Champion at King&#8217;s Companie of Archers, 9\/7\/2013<\/strong>. Was inducted into the Order of the Boga Fyrd at Court later that day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Winner of the Companions of the Rose Archery Tournament<\/strong>, June 2022, Lilies War.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FOAM Cup.
